About The Artist

Born in England in 1949, Robin Collyer has exhibited sculpture and photography since 1971. His artworks always analyze architectural forms, the urban landscape and issues of representation. Typical of his idiosyncratic style, Accident is “high in information but low on resolution. It has juxtaposition, irony, humour, history, and social commentary.”

Robin Collyer has a strong national and international reputation, and represented Canada at documenta 8 and the 1993 Venice Biennale. His work is included in many important private and public collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, the National Collection of France, Siemens AG Germany and the new Canadian Embassy in Berlin.
