No Reading After the Internet is a salon series dealing with cultural texts that are read aloud by participants. Participation in No Reading is open to everyone, regardless of their familiarity with a text or its author.
Expanding upon Working Conditions’ interrogation of power dynamics, blind spots and measures of success contained in the cultural economies and ecosystems, this salon will investigate invisible structures used to organize time bodies and space.
Readings have been selected in consultation with participating artists Kajsa Dahlberg and Juan Ortiz-Apuy, and curator Sam Cotter, and will include excerpts from Rebecca Solnit’s River of Shadows and Naomi Klein’s Shock Doctrine.
Excerpts will be handed out at the salon and no pre-reading is required.
