About The Artist

The images in Katherine Knight’s delicate Bubble Suite series each portray the moment when a bubble has elegantly reached the center of the frame, referencing “landscape and geography while exploring ideas of memory, narrative, will, and consequence.” This established Toronto based photographer’s works are often recognizable for the subtle and intellectual interventions that she imposes on the landscape.

The recipient of the Duke and Duchess of York Award in Photography (2000), Katherine Knight has exhibited her work across North America and is included in many collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Photography and the Banff Centre for the Arts. She holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and an MFA from the University of Victoria.
