Lindsay Page

Force Fields

January 11 – February 17, 2007

Opening Reception: Thursday, January 11, 2007, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

With her haunting animated installation Force Field, Lindsay Page employs the tension between moving and still images in order to reflect on the interconnected psychological states of isolation and connection. A small figure is surrounded by a flock of animated birds projected onto a field of translucent screens throughout the gallery. The animation of the birds is coarse and their movement stilted, referencing early motion-photography/cinema and the digitization of the medium.

Gallery TPW gratefully acknowledges the support of Vtape for this exhibition.
